250 Years. One Nation. One Enduring Spirit.

Today, we proudly celebrate 250 years of American independence and the enduring spirit of a nation founded on liberty, courage, and the unwavering pursuit of freedom.

As we gather with family, friends, and neighbors to commemorate this historic milestone, we are reminded how fortunate we are to call this great nation home. From sea to shining sea, America has stood as a symbol of hope, opportunity, resilience, and unity. The freedoms we enjoy today are a testament to the generations of Americans who have worked tirelessly to build, protect, and preserve this nation. It is a day to reflect on the values that unite us—liberty, courage, service, and the unwavering belief that this nation is worth protecting.

We are incredibly fortunate to call this beautiful country our home. From the smallest towns to the greatest cities, the American flag represents hope, opportunity, and the freedoms we are privileged to enjoy each and every day. These liberties have been safeguarded by the selfless service and sacrifice of the brave men and women who have answered the call to defend our country. Today, we proudly honor our veterans, active-duty military, first responders, and all those who have dedicated their lives to serving something greater than themselves.

As we celebrate America’s 250th birthday, may we reflect on our shared history, cherish the blessings of liberty, and look with hope and pride toward the future. Our nation’s greatest strength has always been its people—neighbors helping neighbors, communities standing together, and citizens united by a love for this remarkable country.

From all of us at the Buxton Police Department, we wish you and your loved ones a safe, joyful, and memorable Independence Day. May your Fourth of July be filled with family, community, gratitude, and pride in this incredible nation, as we celebrate 250 years of freedom.

Happy Independence Day, God Bless America, and may we never forget that we are the land of the free because of the brave.

Special thank you to all First Responders, especially our Buxton Police, Dispatch, and Fire/EMS crews, working this weekend! Your dedication to your communities is truly appreciated
