The Buxton Police Department was founded in 1967. The department currently staffs the following positions; Chief of Police, 2 Sergeants, Detective, 8 Patrol Officers, 2 Reserve Officers, Animal Control Officer, 5 Dispatchers, 3 Administrative staff.
