Today is National Police Woman Day! September 12th, is devoted to the recognition of women in law enforcement who are committed to their communities, in which they risk their lives each and every day.

We commend the incredible women who serve in law enforcement across the nation, as well as our own; Patrol Officer Krista Lee and Patrol Officer Kelsey Vincent. Their courage, professionalism and dedication to keeping the Buxton community safe, makes a significant and lasting impression on all those they come in contact with. We are proud of their service to our department and to the citizens of Buxton.

To all women in uniform — thank you for your service and the precedent you set for future generations.
